Balance and strength training

Balance in elderly is important to prevent falls. Balance is the ability of individual to maintain their centre of gravity over base of support and able to maintain their stability and equilibrium. Balance and strengthening exercises are important to prevent fracture and head injury as result of falls.

We specialised in assessing an individual balance and strength problem. After assessing, we are able to create an individualised exercise program for the client to help improve their balance and strength in their upper and lower limbs. We provide equipments such as ankle weights, wobble boards, therabands, gym balls that can be used during treatment sessions. We also provide bike pedals that can be trialed and purchased by the client. Education and advices on caregiver and family will be given to help with the exercises and home modification or equipment will be provided. Our aim is to keep someone active and prevent risk of falls and injury at home or in the community.
